Louiza Smith is an Advisor at ACap, where she provides tax and wealth management guidance to help clients achieve their financial goals with confidence and clarity. With 7 years of experience in the industry, Louiza draws on her technical expertise and interpersonal skills to offer thoughtful, personalized financial strategies.

Louiza began her career at ACap as a Client Relationship Manager, where she developed a strong foundation in client service before transitioning into her advisory role. She is both a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA), credentials that allow her to navigate the intersections of tax and financial planning with depth and precision.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from UCLA and completed the Personal Financial Planning program at UCLA Extension, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Outside of work, Louiza enjoys hiking with her husband, spending time with family, and sipping a strong red eye (black coffee with a shot of espresso). A fan of The Office (USA) and Game of Thrones, she also finds inspiration in the Harry Potter series. Her dream destination? French Polynesia.

Louiza is a fan of professional wrestling and describes herself as perceptive, empathetic, and vivacious. She finds motivation in the quote by Earl Nightingale:
“Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.”
And if she could have dinner with anyone in history, it would be Jane Goodall, because, as Louiza puts it, “She’s Mother Nature’s mother.”

What inspired you to pursue a career in finance/tax/wealth management?

When I realized that no matter what socio-economic background someone comes from, and what their financial literacy was in the past, financial knowledge, coupled with incremental and consistent steps, can completely change their financial future.

What do you love most about your job?

That “aha” moment where clients realize they can achieve the financial objectives they thought were too difficult, when provided professional guidance and support.

What’s the best piece of financial advice you’ve ever received?

Always work towards a financial goal so that your money is not idle, and no one can ask to “borrow” it.
