Carina Oghoorian

As Vice President of Marketing at ACap, Carina leads the firm’s marketing strategy with a focus on enhancing brand awareness, building client trust, and communicating ACap’s values across digital platforms and outreach initiatives. With over 15 years of experience in marketing, education leadership, and communications, she ensures the firm’s messaging remains clear, authentic, and aligned with clients’ long-term financial goals.

Before stepping into her current role, Carina served as ACap’s Director of Marketing from 2014 to 2018, where she laid the foundation for many of the firm’s strategic communications efforts. Her career also includes senior leadership roles in education, including serving as Lead Instructional Coach and Administrator at iQ Academy Los Angeles and Director of Lower School at Woodcrest School. These roles equipped her with deep experience in organizational leadership, content development, and community engagement.

Carina’s educational background includes a Master of Arts in Elementary Education with a concentration in Language and Literacy from San Francisco State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Maryland Honors Program. She holds a Series 65 license and multiple certifications in education.

Throughout her career, Carina has been recognized for her leadership and advocacy in both education and community initiatives. She was a featured speaker at the National PTA Convention, contributed to the PTA/Mathnasium STEM Pilot Program, served on the National PTA STEM + Families Grant Review Board, and received a PTA Newsletter Award for excellence in communication.

Carina is also deeply committed to outreach and service. She is a member of the Armenian Educational Foundation and has served as a board member for Access Books and as PTA President at the Academy for Enriched Sciences.

What’s your favorite book, movie, or TV show?

Ooh, I have so many favorite books. A few are Cutting for Stone, Demon Copperhead, On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous, and American Dirt.

Do you play any sports or musical instruments?

Pickleball. It is such a social and fun sport that anyone can play. If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend you get out there and see for yourself what all the buzz is about!

What do you love most about your job?

I love working with my husband and with this incredible team of committed, kind, and determined people.
