Matthew Crisafulli

Matthew Crisafulli is a Partner at ACap, where he works across both the Wealth Management and Accounting departments, providing clients with holistic financial planning and tax strategies. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and IRS Enrolled Agent (EA), Matt brings over 15 years of industry experience to his role, helping clients navigate complex financial decisions with confidence and clarity.
Matt began his career in psychiatric healthcare at Pacific Hospital of Long Beach before transitioning into public accounting at Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt, a well-regarded California-based CPA firm. He joined ACap Asset Management in 2014 and has since built lasting relationships with clients by offering thoughtful, personalized guidance.
He graduated with distinction from the Personal Financial Planning program at UCLA Extension and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UCLA. Matt has also pursued coursework in accounting to strengthen his tax advisory capabilities.

Outside the office, Matt enjoys spending his weekends entertaining his kids, golfing (when the stars align), and hanging out with family. He also supports UCLA athletics, and always stays up to date with the latest developments in finance and tax policy. Matt loves watching live events and especially enjoys movies – fictional or non-fictional, about the mafia. A fan of urban exploration, his ideal vacations are in historic cities, admiring old architecture rather than lounging on beaches or hiking in the mountains. Whether he’s catching up on tax policy or enjoying a strong cup of black coffee, Matt brings insight, good nature, and empathy to everything he does.

What inspired you to pursue a career in finance/tax/wealth management?
I have always had an affinity for working with money, and once I realized that it was an area that the average person has difficulty understanding or executing, I knew it was something I could make a meaningful impact on my community doing.
What’s the best piece of financial advice you’ve ever received?
Keep close tabs on your money, and while you count it, count your blessings.
